ALfE course with MK YMCA

Worktree has completed its first delivery of a new 6-week Action Learning for Employability (ALfE) course with homeless young people aged 19-24 at MK YMCA.

Funded by a community grant from the European Social Fund, this course was designed along similar lines to the pilot with A4E in 2015 and intended for 12 participants.

21 YMCA residents participated in 6 weekly group sessions, engaging in 215 conversations with 35 work guests in Career WorkOut sessions and 77 work conversations outside YMCA.   One completed a two-week work placement, two applied successfully for a job and three enrolled on training programmes.
