Career WorkOut an ideal team volunteering opportunity – Xero
Christine Prince, Head of Workplace Experience at Xero, brought a team of colleagues to volunteer for Career WorkOut sessions at Denbigh School.
“We wanted a local team volunteering opportunity,” said Christine, “and Worktree’s Career WorkOut was ideal. The students were really engaged and willing to ask questions to find out more about our jobs.”
Two former Denbigh School students, Abigail Woolford (Customer Experience Specialist – Billing) and Ayman Kaouri (Partner Consulting Manager), were able to share their career journeys since leaving their old School.
“I had students openly say to me that they were worried about going into the working world,” said Abigail. “It was great to reassure them and share my journey with them since leaving the School.”
“This sort of activity helps young people to start thinking about different opportunities and how they can achieve their goals”, said Kundai Denga (Customer Experience Specialist – Accounting).
“The students were genuinely interested in finding out about other factors of work other than money”, said Ayman Kaouri (Partner Consulting Manager)
