I enjoyed meeting the electrician. Now I’ve applied for a course in Electrical Installation, it’s a huge weight off my shoulders. I’m no longer interested in studying sports or to be a PE teacher.
It was interesting meeting people with different jobs. It made me feel more confident talking with people I don’t know…in interviews. It made me want to do better in Maths so I can do Finance.
I found out about many different jobs I didn’t know existed and it made me have a wider range of ideas for my future. I realised I need my GCSEs as it gives me more opportunities.
My mum was really curious about what Career WorkOut did.
When I went home I talked with my mum and dad about all the different (work) opportunities. I wouldn’t normally have that sort of conversation with them. It’s only when we do Career WorkOut.
My parents are a fan of Career WorkOut because they didn’t get it when they were younger.
If it wasn’t for Career WorkOut, I wouldn’t have seen the work opportunities you could get from doing Maths.
I learned that even if something as horrible as getting hit by a car happens to you, you can still pick yourself up and carry on living your life.
Career WorkOut really inspired me to work hard because I know there are lots of jobs I don’t know about.
Career WorkOut made me feel I must keep pushing hard. You see these people, you realise there are a lot of people who might want to do the same thing as you. Some people get stuff through family. You have to find ways to get advantages.
