Giveback, share expertise and build knowledge with young people – Alistair Patrick-Heselton, AP-H Inspired

New volunteer, Alistair Patrick-Heselton took part in Career WorkOut at Kents Hill Park Secondary School earlier this month.

“In my business, AP-H Inspired I operate as an ‘Athlete Mentor’ and Inspirational/Motivational speaker. I use my experiences in Football and elite competition to help others succeed in their chosen path by unlocking their potential. I have been doing this for about 8 years”.

“I specialise in the Education sector and when the opportunity arose with Worktree I accepted”.

“The session I took part in was at Kents Hill Park Secondary School and it involved me greeting pupils, answering their questions about what I do and giving them greater insight into what I do and the motivations behind it”

“It felt very good working with Worktree and this School.  My biggest enjoyment was that as I had returned to the School (I had been there the previous week on other business) the rapport already built was strong and I was met with excitement and remembered by the students which adds even more satisfaction to my job”.

“I think others should volunteer with Worktree as I feel being able to giveback, share expertise and build knowledge with young enthusiastic children really can kick start something special for them and in turn gives a sense of purpose to ourselves”.
