Thames Valley Police overtake Santander

In the latest month of school year 2018-19, Thames Valley Police has overtaken Santander UK in Worktree’s league table of corporate volunteering.

A total of 33 police officers and support officers have attended 65 Career WorkOut sessions, compared with 33 Santander staff attending 54 sessions. Santander previously held second position in the Large Companies table.

So Thames Valley Police is now second to Network Rail, who retain the lead.

“Thames Valley Police are delighted to support Worktree,” said Area Commander Supt. Yvette Hitch (pictured). “This is a really great opportunity for the police to engage with the young people of Milton Keynes. Hopefully we can bust some of the myths and at the same time we learn so much from the participants.”

Other remarkable contributions are from The Open University, which has increased its contribution nearly three-fold to 22 bookings, charity Winter Night Shelter which has also nearly trebled its bookings to 25, and Fossil Group whose 21 bookings take them to the top of the Small Companies table.

Domino’s Group also deserve special mention for their 50% increase in bookings from 6 to 9.
